question about the ergo baby carrier?
I have made up my mind to purchase the ergo baby carrier. My daughter is 10 months old (16 lb)and does not do well in the basket at the store, so I'm thinking this will be a good purchase for going to the store, and for afternoon walks. I am 5' 1" (30") waist size, my husband is 6' with a 34" waist size. I would like to get the one best for both of us. Should I get the Ergo Baby Carrier or the Ergo Sport OR the Organic Ergo. Also, is the black too hot, we have pretty hot summers Suggestions would be most helpful. Thank you!!! Color suggestions too. Thanks!!
I know you've said you made up your mind, but I will tell you from experience, having heavily relied on baby carriers for two children: this is a purchase where you need to buy one for each of you. Really examine products, try them on with child, get the right fit and the product that matches your personal style. Ergo carriers can look feminine. Also remember you'll be switching the "settings" back and forth each time your husband uses the carrier after you do.
You should choose the Ergo that fits you best.
For males, try the Kelty carrier. It's more suited toward a male build. This will encourage your husband to use it more often.
The black is not too hot - my primary carrier is black and I use it throughout the year with no issue.
