Should I buy a semi hollow electric guitar or a solid body electric guitar?
I have just started playing the guitar and I am contemplating on what to buy. I am confused between semi-hollow and solid body.
The semi-hollow model that I am looking at is the Epiphone Dot Studio Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar
As for the solid body electric guitars, I am looking the following three options:
1. IbanezRG120
2. Epiphone G-310 SG
3. ESP F-50
Any ideas?
It depends what kind of music you play. Further, the guitars that you like are all over the place.
I think of the Ibanez RG as a metal guitar. Same with the ESP F-50. I think of the Epi G-310 as a middle of the road rock guitar and I think of the Dot Studio as a Blues guitar.
So, It really depends on what you are trying to play. Also, the Dot is a big guitar. You might want something - well - not so big and clumsy.
Get the Epi. You should like it and it cover the most ground the best.
