computer build, what do you think? easy 10points 5*?
ok building a new computer (first time builder) and i have came up with this set up after weeks of searching to find best products that suits my needs. firstly id like to note that i dont want to go with the new I7. tell me what you think. thanks. oh yeah its for gaming and some video edits and multi-tasking.
Case: Thermaltake armor+mx (silver)
MB: Asus maximus 2 formula
Cpu: Intel E8500 core 2 duo 3.16Ghz
Ram: corsair 1066mhz 12Gb
Psu: Thermaltake 750w Qfan
Hdd: 2 Seagate 1TB sata 11 7200rpm & 1 WD 70Gb 10,000rpm
Drives: 1 Blu-ray sata dvd & 1 Asus 22x lightscribe sata dvd burners
GC: 2 Asus 4870 1Gb ddr5 pcie hdmi graphic cards (crossfire)
OS: Windows vista ultimate 64bit
Monitor: samsung 24" HD
and i already have keyboard and mouse.
Also i am thinking of water cooling the system with the thermaltake big water 760i
Your computer looks great and very powerful. I would recommend a Intel Core 2 quad Q9450 or higher since video editing is much faster if you using a quad core. (No need to go for i7).
Having a quad core will also benefit your future gaming experience since newer games can make use of quad core processing.
Remember to have a good cooling system as your computer will be quite hot.
