What is the best bang for buck music player?
The wife wants a low cost music player (MP3, iPod, etc.) that will NOT take a lot of PC knowledge OR $$$ to load with music. She just wants to copy music off of her favorite CDs onto the player, perhaps using MS Windows Vista Media Player (using the sync option maybe) or some other simple, already available software tool on her PC, and then be able to play the music while she travels, sits for days at airports in Europe, on busses, jogs around the neighborhood or at the gym, etc. Any GOOD ideas?
Nearly all MP3 players allow you to load your own music.
The iPod players require you use iTunes.
Some better non Apple players can sync to a Windows Media library.
I have a Sansa Fuze, which I use with media-monkey to sync. I have my podcasts and audio books on the internal flash, and part of my music library on the micro SDHC card I added (I have it set to shuffle that occasionally). It also has an FM radio and voice recorder function.
Other Sansa players and the Creative line should be considered.
If she needs it, you should get a USB charger pack, to extend the operating time of the player, as well as an airplane/car charger, and possibly universal AC charger.
