Caloric-intake Question?
Yesterday I ate 3000 calories which is 1000 over my limit.
Today, if I go to the gym for 3 hours, and eat 1000 calories UNDER my limit (which is 1000 calories total), am I still at risk of gaining weight? WIll I not gain weight after that 3000 calorie splurge by making up for it today?
Ouch, that's a little self-punishing. Technically, if you burned 1000 calories at the gym (overkill?) you wouldn't be; however, you're over-stressing yourself physically and mentally if you're on just 1000 cals. It's much safer to do it throughout the week instead by eating 200 fewer calories a day with moderate exercise. Overeating usually stores extra calories as fat which usually require a lot of work to tap into; however, binging for one day out of the month isn't gonna make too much of a difference.
