why wont they let me box southpaw?
I have some boxing experience from my father who was pro however i just started going to the gym and hitting the mits and so forth anyway my question is my wont my trainer let me box southpaw? im right handed but i feel very comfortable leading with my right because i have equal power with my left. when i box orthodox im off balanced and very awkward. Im a decnt southpaw and poor orthodox boxer. please i need help
Ok, dude. If I were boxing you, I'd love for you to fight southpaw. Your power hand, your left, won't hurt. I'd take advantage of that and send you home all lumped up.

Hey Max. Fighters like De La Hoya are exceptions rather than the rule. If someone is starting off, they should learn the basics before even thinking about fighting backwards. Then again, De La Hoya lost 9 fights, maybe he should have stuck with southpaw? Freddie Roach said it himself that De La Hoya has no right hand to worry about.
