Buying a car after bankruptcy?
I just filed a chapter 13 bankruptcy and I am now in need of a car that will last me for a while. I have found a 2001 GMC Yukon for $11,000. I have $1,500 saved up for a down payment. Do you think thats a good car for me to get. I need a car that will last me a while. I want to keep my payments at around 200 a month. Please leave me any input in this situation. Thanks
A 2001 GMC Yukon for 11k? You're getting ripped off. You have to start looking at cheaper cars that don't require payments. $1500 is a good down payment for any car so your head is somewhat in the right place. I would be looking at cheaper cars that are very reliable. I hate toyota as a company but they have some pretty reliable and cheap cars (Just check out the ones that have been recalled. Most of them have been sent in to be fixed but you can't be too sure)
