Everlast Weight
Is a heavy bag stand supposed to do this ?

I have a black Everlast heavy bag and fast bag stand and I practice my Tae Kwon Do punches and kicks on it and noticed that whenever I kick it, the hook at the top holding the punching bag up is spinning around and constantly changing direction. I also have heavy weights holding it down too. But when I do my side kick on it the damn thing nearly is lifting off the ground and I am not this powerful !
Should I add more weights ?

I have a Everlast canvas 100lbs heavy bag, the hook on top is more likely the swivel which is made to spin so that the chain or rope does not get tangled up and snap, second it is not if you powerful or not but how much weight you have at the base of your bag, if you have a 100lbs bag with a 45lbs plate anchored to it of course the bag is going to continue moving around this is why is is better to anchor the bag to the floor. Because you also have to apply physics ( this is just a general formula, if you what to get technical add mass, gravity etc..) to it power/force is equal to speed times weight, you if you kick the bag and it moves for example 2mph, multiply that by the bag weight you have 200lbs of force being generated. So yes add more weight or anchor it to the ground.

We appreciate you looking at our Everlast Weight information.
