What do you think about Low-Profile Tires?
Personally, I think they totally STINK!
I live in Ohio and our chuckholes are quite large at times, especially during the winter time. These tires can't take these chuckholes. I've blown 2 sets including ruining their rims in the last few years and I can't replace the rims with ones that I can use a regular size tire and rim.
Plus when you replace them, their too expensive which wipes out any savings you get in gas economy. They also seem to wear out faster and seem to develope more problems with their belting too.
I have a Ford Focus. I didn't buy the car, my mother gave me it due to her not being able to drive anymore.

Well, if I wanted to do that, then I'd really wipe my gas savings out the window. Besides, don't these car manufacturers realize what a pain in the butt they really are? I just wish I could get the regulars one for the car.
My own opinion is that they are mostly a gimmick. I say, better to stick with a good all-season radial.
If you had a high end BMW, you could make an argument for those sort of tires, in the right circumstances, but a "normal" everyday car? All-season radials!
