Do you think i will need to upgrade my alternator?
Hi folks, had a pair of low power 15's in ym car for a while running no problems.
Now im upgrading to a pair of Orion 12.2 2ohmDVC subs with 4x hifonics amps
I also have a 4x140wrms hifonics jupiter amp running front and rear speakers
I have alrady upgraded the big 3 and have a split charging system to an optima yellowtop in my boot using 0awg.
Im trying to find out if i need to upgrade my alternator, i was told.... (Divide the power rating (in watts) by the voltage (in volts)) but this gives me 278amps o.O (assuming its wrms?)
help! lol
my car is a 2002 peugeot 406 coupe, stock alternator is valeo 2bolt 150amp

a capacitor and earplugs could be a good cheap alternative to a new alternator
