What is my best choice for my first gaming rig between the Sandy Bridge 2500K or 2600K?
Are the CPU's a awesome choice for my first gaming build and if so which one should I get? I only plan to use this PC as something for recreation like alot of gaming, music, browsing, and possibly some video editing (but nothing professional like 3D editing, more along the youtube lines). So which one should I buy and what is the best motherboard (mobo) I could get for either of these? I've heard that the Asus Maximus IV is a badass mobo but would this be overkill and overpriced for what i'm doing or would it be a good buy, if not what is the next best thing that I should go with? I'm not messed up to pay a high price as long as i'm using what i'm buying to the maximum and is top quality (can't stand cheaply made parts like plastic chassis and such) The best awnser will go to whoever awnsers my question with some good details that I can understand. Raw performance, the 2600k. Realistically, the 2500k performs perfectly on any given game and is $100 cheaper.
