Quick question on a set of 25 pound dumbbells?
I recently just started working out and I was looking into buying 25 pound dumbbells. Is this too much for a beginner or is 25 pounds alright? I'm 18 years old
A single weight has limited uses, each exercise usually requires a different weight for the muscle being worked and as a beginner you will see good early improvements quickly making a single weight DB ineffective quickly.
25s are light and would be ok for smaller muscles to begin with but won't be heavy enough for the larger muscles and compound lifts.
