I have a Question about Dumbbells.?
Ok, so guess what, I bought a Dumbbell case, and now I have two pairs which I can add/remove pounds to. Everybody told me if I want to make more muscles, to use a heavier Dumbbell, and less reps, but if I wanted to work on my indurance, use a lighter Dumbbell, and do more reps.
1) So what if I use a heavier Dumbbell, and Less reps. Would that make my Muscles bigger?
2) What if I use a heaver Dumbbell, but with more reps, will that affect any results????
3) How many reps should I do if I just started doing a 20 lb Dumbbell. And how many sets. How much time do I have to take between each set?
4) Is it ok if at first, when I am doing a heavier Dumbbell, I am not easily capable of using my left arm (I am a righty). I find it kind of hard to do it at the same time. Any tips.
Please ANSWER
I would go by what amount of weight is difficult and what is easy or moderate. Find a moderate weight and do 3 sets of 12 reps or 4 sets of 10 reps, that will build strength and endurance. Take no more that a 60 second rest between reps, that will make each set more difficult.
