Is it safe to workout alone by yourself with free weights at home?
In my home I have adjustable weights going up to 55 lbs on a pair of adjustable dumbbells. Recently I have brouught a wielders slant bench so I could workout my chest and abs at home. When I do chest, I do 20 reps of 40 lbs dumb bells in each arm once and 2 sets of 15 reps of 40 lbs in each arm on flat. I avoid to go decline seeeing that balaance isnt very good doing decline bench presses on a slant bench. Also I like to do do tricep extensions with the adjustable weights standing up. Recently my family didnt like what what I was doing and thought of it as dangerious to workout with no one home. Should I keep my same workout habbits, or do the same things await to someone home, or any other suggstions. I just prefer to do it on my own time cause its more convient. the other exercises I do with the adjustable dumbbells dont pose such a big enough danger than the tricep and chest exercise as described.
I've done it for years, just don't max out. go like 80% when alone. Do more reps, but less weight.
