How do I remove the roll cage?
Here's the specs: 1966 chevelle 468 big block, turbo 400, 12 bolt rear with 4.11s and spool, 14 point cage, bare interior. I'm planning on restoring the interior and to use it as a daily driver. Thing is I'm just getting into classic muscle cars and the roll cage is new? for me. I've heard you could just cut the door tubes, and the carpet can cover up the bottom plates. Is this true? Help me out please thanks.
Well the first thing I would look for is how the roll cage was put in weather it was bolted in or welded in. A saws all would be the safest and the fastest was to remove it. You can cut the cage into small enough peaces to take out any window or door.
