How to stop hating food?
Ok, I really want grip on this dieting.I'm hoping from my earlier answer posts that I do not have an eating disorder, just body and self esteem issues.I really want to stop thinking about calories and fat(because no weight is ever skinny enough for me).I have been fasting to long this time and I'm feeling tired, weak & always cold.I'm having a hard time liking food again.If anyone has been through this and has any suggestions, I would love to hear them.I want to be done with the exlax, water pills, diet pills...everything.I tend to go very long times without solid food(30 days) and even though I know it is very unhealthy, I can't seem to stop sometimes.Does this go in cycles with depression or something? I do not feel depressed, just fustrated.I'm dreading meal times because of the pressure I get.Also, how do I get family & hubby to understand I don't do this on purpose.They have a way of making me feel so ashamed, I run 2 businesses, raise 2 kids & function fine on ever other level.
don't be ashamed because yes it's a problem, but you have to get over it and be proud of the progress you're making. I suggest that you go somewehre to be alone and relaxed for a weekend. get to know yourself again, and know that no matter how much weight you lose...you'll still be you and losing weight won't change your life. If it's YOU you want to change you need to figure out what it is you're wanting to change and then slowly begin to change it. good luck. i'm sorry you're going through this!
