Do you think Stafon Johnson was using a suicide grip when he dropped that weight on his neck?
If you're unfamiliar with a suicide grip, it means you have your thumb on the same side of the bar as the rest of your fingers instead of gripping it on the other side. Do you think Stafon Johnson was doing the same thing? Personally I think using this grip is madness. They call it the suicide grip for a reason!

Nice thinking, I completely forgot about suicide grip. He could very well have been using suicide grip. Suicide grip ables you to lift a little bit more but it also increases the chance of the bar slipping and falling on your chest. Let alone your neck. I hope the kid gets better, hes a great football player.
